In my time at Leap Motion, I lead UX design, development, and research to support strategic initiatives. Pushed design thinking and UX vision forward, resulting in design-driven and user-focused decisions. On-site and remote user studies focused on concept validation, contextual inquiry, and task-based usability testing.

I created a visual language for Airspace, the Leap Motion app store, and Leap Motion Developer sites, defining interaction design patterns across web, mobile, desktop, and sensor-based hardware devices.

I validated and improved designs with on-site and remote user studies ranging from high-level concept validation and contextual inquiry to task-based usability testing.

Our team was tasked with building a POC to show how gesture controls could best be applied to Windows 8 touch screen environments. Our mission was to create a natural, magical, and usable application to establish best practices for OS controls and other applications.Based on the needs and desires of primary stakeholders (consumers, Leap Motion's business development team, Microsoft, and OEM partners) the WinLeap team produced a Javascript and HTML5-based prototype that generated new best practices, patterns, and techniques for motion control design, as well as communicating interactive requirements to engineers.
