Lead Digital Product Designer, User Experience Designer, Prototyper
I brought UX/UI design vision and creative leadership to a rapidly evolving product with an amazing team of UX engineers, product managers, and project managers. I worked to infuse user centered design thinking into product development at an amazingly inventive and talented company that is fundamentally changing the way that remote sensing and earth imaging data is brought to the marketplace.
My day to day work involved defining product vision through wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, collaborative ideation, information architecture, team building, and instilling UX thinking across multi-disciplinary groups within the company.
Apps designed to share amazing satellite imagery with the world.
In order to scale from 10s to 100s of spacecraft, we needed to provide a new way for satellite operators to visualize data that gives them a snapshot of flock health, spacecraft health, antenna health, anomaly detection, and long-term situational awareness.
In addition to continually updating the world about our efforts to image the Earth, when we started getting amazing images of Earth from our Doves we needed a place to share them.Close

Much of my role at Leap Motion revolved around UX design, development, and research in support of Leap Motion's strategic initiatives.
I was a core web team member, creating and defining a visual language for Airspace, the Leap Motion app store and Leap Motion Developer. I spent my time creating interaction design patterns across web, mobile, desktop and sensor-based hardware devices.
- Leap Motion Airspace - led redesign, re-architecture, and relaunch of Leap Motion App Store resulting in better user experience and lowered friction to learn about and buy apps with fewer customer support requests.
- Leap Motion Developer - led redesign, re-architecture, and relaunch of Leap Motion Developer resulting in significant uptick in developer happiness and engagement and fewer customer support requests.
In these roles I validated and improved designs with on-site and remote user studies ranging from high-level concept validation and contextual inquiry to task-based usability testing.
I pushed company design thinking and UX culture forward resulting in more design driven and user focused product decisions.Close
